Without a CPU / processor, a computer would have the capability, but no function. The processor is a part that gets extremely hot, which can cause it to expand and contract. This changing in size can result in shifting parts that are near the CPU to be shaken loose. Repairing a CPU is a delicate process, but the Nerds on Call have the knowledge to diagnose your damage and recommend whether it should be repaired in our shop, or you should get a replacement, in which case our Nerd can go with you to the store and help with selection, installation, and setup.
