You may end an active remote-support session at any time by disconnecting the session, closing the remote-access software, or notifying the technician.
Nerds On Call will not intentionally access your device outside an active session unless you separately authorize unattended or continuing access.
B. Calls, Chats, and Support Sessions
We may record telephone calls, chats, remote-support sessions, or other service communications after providing notice and obtaining consent where required by applicable law.
Recordings and related communications may be used for customer service, quality assurance, training, service documentation, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.
C. E-Waste and Data Destruction
When we process accepted computers, laptops, hard drives, or other supported data-bearing devices for electronic-waste recycling, we may use data-overwrite software and/or physical destruction of storage media before recycling.
Customers remain responsible for maintaining their own backup and removing or securing personal information before delivering a device for recycling, repair, shipment, or service.
No method of data deletion or destruction can be guaranteed to eliminate every risk under every circumstance.

A. Transactional Communications
If you provide contact information in connection with a service request, repair, purchase, subscription, account, or other transaction, we may contact you regarding appointments, estimates, service status, repairs, payments, account notices, security issues, delivery, warranty matters, customer support, and other transactional communications.
