Julissa: …Cyber Monday. Ken, with our resident Nerd On Call, checking out the hottest tech deals online.

Ken: Thank you so much, Ryan, for hanging out to tell us a little bit more about how we can take advantage of the big, big Cyber Monday sales happening right now.

Ryan: Yeah, so earlier we went over how to stack coupons and different websites you can go to for good deals, and so today, we’re going to kind of highlight some of the good deals we’re finding online.

Ken: Okay.

Ryan: So this is one of my favorite websites. This is called The Verge, and here they listed the top 20 things to buy today, and unfortunately, a lot of the links are down already.

Ken: Because everyone’s out there, they’re active right now, yeah, yeah.

Ryan: Yeah, it was reported earlier that Target was down. Me and Court were trying to get Target to come up earlier. Target is huge today, 15% off everything in the store. You can get Apple products, some of the hottest gear. Unfortunately, they’re down. We tried… Oh, they’re up again!

Ken: Target’s back up! Okay, okay. What do we need? Let’s do it now! What do we need? Let’s do it now. Let’s do it here right now!

Ryan: This is pretty great. This is a Playstation 4 deal. You get the Uncharted collection plus 50% off the Playstation network. This is only $349. This is an incredible deal. Plus, you get that 15% off everything at Target. If it’s up, go. If it’s not, keep refreshing until it gets back up again. Target is owning today, but unfortunately, their website is just having some trouble. If you want to get an Xbox, go check out Walmart. This is a great deal because it gives you an extra controller, which is $50 bucks normally. So this is $299, plus you get the extra controller, and you get a couple of games with it too, the Gears of War collection. So this is a pretty great deal. If you’re looking for an iPad, good old Walmart has an iPad, 16GB, for only $200 bucks. That’s $100 off.

Courtney: Wow, that’s a great deal.

Ryan: That’s pretty rare to get.

Ken: Free shipping and free pick-up.

Ryan: Yeah.

Ken: Awesome.

Ryan: So you can just ship it right to the store and then go pick it up. T-mobile has the 6S. Although, we’ve got this pop-up in the way. T-mobile has the 6S today for $100 bucks off, so if you’re at T-Mobile, this is a great place to go. If you want to get a hoverboard, check it out. Hoverboards half off today, just go to eBay, they got them. It doesn’t matter the brand. Here’s the interesting thing is, they’re all made by the same manufacturer. They just slap on a different brand.

Courtney: Get out of here!

Ken: Are you serious?

Courtney: That’s hilarious.

Ryan: They’re all the same thing, $280 bucks. So if you’re looking to get a hoverboard and get your nerd on, that’s where I would be going.

Ken: Get your nerd on.

Courtney: Get your nerd on.

Ryan: So eBay is not the place that most people would go, but really great prices, and they’ve got places that are just regular stores there, but they’re selling stuff out like crazy. Target’s the place, though. If you really want a good deal, Target’s the place to go today.

Ken: And the best question that I felt like that you answered was, let’s say I do the Cyber Monday and I buy it online, but I don’t have the time or want to wait for them to ship it to me, I can still go down and just pick it up.

Ryan: Go right to the store… Like we were talking about boots earlier.

Kean: Yeah, I need boots, yeah.

Ryan: Nordstrom’s is having a great deal today. Nordstrom’s doesn’t normally have sales, but Ken’s looking for some boots for his Portland trip, and they’ve got great deals and stuff, and you can just buy it and then pick it up in the store.

Cyber Monday, the internet’s answer to Black Friday, is here. The Nerds from Nerds on Call have a few tricks up their sleeves for getting the best Cyber Monday deals during the country’s largest online shopping day. Sometimes, shopping around just isn’t enough; you need to have a game plan in place if you are hoping to score some of the best gifts for the upcoming holidays. You may be surprised at some of the big-name retailers offering significant discounts on almost everything they have in the store.

The Nerds at Nerds on Call like to start at their favorite tech news website, The Verge. The Verge has listed the top 20 deals of Cyber Monday on their website, but unfortunately many of the links are already down due to either large amounts of visitors or the item being sold out already. Target’s website has been up and down all morning long because they are offering 15% off of everything store wide. Target is offering a PlayStation 4 bundle for $349, which includes the Uncharted game collection along with 50% off of PlayStation Network subscription fee. When combined with Target’s 15% off deal, this is a pretty irresistible purchase. There are also other stores where you can find great Cyber Monday deals.

Walmart has some of the best Cyber Monday deals; like $299 for an Xbox One with the Gears of War collection and an extra controller. Walmart also has discounted some Apple products and is now offering a 16GB iPad with WiFi capabilities for only $199, $100 off of retail! These deals will not last long, so be sure to jump on them while you still have the chance.

T-Mobile is offering one of the hottest Cyber Monday deals by offering the iPhone 6S for $100 off. If you have T-mobile as your mobile service provider, consider upgrading to the latest smartphone while you can still save a decent amount.

Hoverboards are becoming all the rage, and there is one place to get them online that is better than anywhere else: eBay. The funny thing is, it does not matter what brand of hoverboard you are looking at, they are all the same. There is only one manufacturer of these devices, but there are several companies that slap their label on them and try to appeal to consumers more. Hoverboards are selling for nearly 50% off today, with some available from the price of $280, making the hoverboard one of the best Cyber Monday deals of the year. For those of you that feel uncomfortable using eBay to shop, just know that there are vendors just like regular stores that do business through eBay.

Most retailers know that consumers like instant gratification, they do not want to pay for something and then wait 7-10 days for it to be delivered. Luckily, places like Nordtrom are offering free shopping and in store pickup for Cyber Monday. Zappos is giving free next-day shipping on purchases made during Cyber Monday, so if you are on the market for a new pair of shoes, or just want a pair to match that New Years outfit, Nordstrom and Zappos are both great choices.
