Printer Repair Solutions

Most modern consumer printers are integrated with scan and fax functions. However, cramming all of these options into one box can make fixing your machine difficult. Running out of ink is the most common problem. If your low ink light is blinking or your computer tells you the printer has low ink, you probably will not be able to print. Buy a new ink cartridge or refill your old ones. Another common cause of problems is missing drivers. Drivers allow your computer to communicate with your printer. In the link section below we’ve listed the official sites for the most common driver software. Locate your device there to update your communications software.

Questions nerds often hear about Fax Machine, Scanner, Printer Repair Service

Why does my printer say offline?

The most common cause of this issue is missing drivers. The drivers are required for the computer to know that the printer exists. Without drivers, or with the wrong ones, the computer has no way to communicate with the printer. In its mind, it isn’t even real.

Why does my printer not print?

If your drivers are up to date, any number of problems could keep your printer from functioning properly. You can try replacing the ink cartridges, cleaning the print heads, or turning it off and back on again

Inkjet Printer

An inkjet printer uses very fine squirts of ink to make an image on the page. Inkjet printers have a different cartridge for each color, and mixes them in varying amounts to make all the colors

Printer Cartridge

a cartridge goes inside an inkjet printer and is filled with a sponge. This sponge holds the ink before it is squirted out the bottom.

Laser Printer

a laser printer uses toner instead of ink to make images. Laser printers are more expensive to buy, but toner costs much less than ink and can printer much faster

Toner

Printer toner consists of tiny particles. When a laser printer prints, it electrically charges these particles to stick to the paper.
