Why Recycle E-Waste?
Electronics are a fundamental tool of our daily life, and as they’ve become more common and less costly, electronic waste has become more impactful on our environment. When not properly recycled, e-waste chemicals and metal components erode over time, leeching into soil and groundwater.
Recognizing the impact of electronic waste on our local communities, regulations were put in place mandating that electronics be taken to an e-waste processing facility to ensure that old or no-longer-needed electronics don’t end up in landfills.
Many disposal sites charge fees to handle e-waste. Luckily, our handy Nerds have discovered that many electronics that are no longer meeting one user’s needs can be repurposed for parts or refurbished as an inexpensive tool to give a little more life to your no-longer-useful-to-you computers, laptops, and monitors.

Will Nerds wipe all data from my disposal PC?
Yes! Our Nerds will make sure your laptop or desktop disposal is securely wiped of all data and/or your hard drive destroyed before your system being parted out, refurbished, or recycled.

Does Nerds on Call provide e-waste pickup?
Depending on the items you need disposed of and your location, Nerds on Call may be able to pick up your computers, laptops, and/or monitors. We offer complimentary pickup of approved e-waste items when we are already onsite to provide computer setup or tech support services. Fees for electronic recycling pickup when additional service is not needed may be waived depending on the items you’re disposing of. Please contact a Nerd for details.
Do you accept e-waste other than computers and laptops?
Our electronics waste disposal is focused on laptops and desktop computers, but we also accept computer monitors, network equipment, and servers.
We do not accept printers, keyboards, mice, cell phones, or camera equipment.
