During our initial setup service appointment, we installed an app on your computer that allows you to invite a Nerd On Call to remotely login to your computer with a simple double click. You’ll be able to chat with your Nerd, show them the problem you’re having, and watch as they fix it right in front of you.
And don’t worry about a Nerd accessing your computer outside the parameters of your requested service: our software only allows us to access your computer when you initiate the request, and permission is discontinued as soon as you click out of your remote session.

Yes, after the 6 or 12-month period you purchase today is over, your plan will automatically renew as a month-to-month plan. Our team of Nerds will contact you via email and/or phone before your renewal to verify you still wish to have our Service Plan and to confirm if you want to purchase another 6 or 12-month plan or convert to month-to-month. So make sure to keep your contact info up to date and subscribe to our emails so you don’t miss out on important notifications.
Well, both plans are pretty great in our humble opinion. You get the same service with both types of Membership, so it depends on your budget and computer needs. If you have used our services a lot, it may be best to consider getting the 12-month plan so you lock in your savings longer. If are looking for something that is easier on the budget, the 6-month plan may be the way to go. If you need help deciding which is best for you, call a Nerd at 1-800-919-6373.
Of course! You can purchase a plan for yourself or a loved one. We have members who have set up plans for their children and parents alike. After completing the purchase process, one of our Nerds will contact you to get your computer(s) initial setup. Just let your Nerd know who to set up as the primary contact for the device and whether the person is different from the individual paying for the plan. The more info the better! My 10 year old gaming PC was getting cranky and I just about know enough to get into real trouble if I tried anything myself. Also, my back-up drive hasn’t been responding for over a year. He is PATIENT, KIND, SMART, and PLEASANT….and he fixed the problem by giving the two of us two senior citizens very explicit and kind directions on what to plug and and unplug, etc, etc, etc. The etcs are things we saw happening to our computer but had no idea what was going on – other than we knew the problem was being fixed!!!

Five stars don’t seem like enough considering how many times Nerds on Call has bailed me out. I’ve had them on service for a couple of years now and they have never let me down. We’ve had Nerds as our computer guys for about 10 years. They are always easily available and able to fix every issue we have had on the same day. I even had one occasion when my battery wouldn’t charge and my lap top had to be taken in to the shop.
