Then DVDs came along and it was so impressive that you could burn almost 5 gigabytes of data onto an optical disc. Now we have flash drives that can store ten times that amount. Our current optical disc technology is all about the Blu. Blu-ray discs hold much more data than previous technology and are a great way to transfer data or high-definition video. As time goes on, the current method of using these disks will probably become outdated, but for now you probably have so much data stored on them that it’s impractical to try and move everything onto a different storage medium.
