A laptop computer is a portable personal computer (PC). All of the computer components are housed within a folding shell
Laptops are, as Eccleston’s Doctor would put it, fahntastic. We can take them everywhere we go, and they’re high-powered enough to crank through spreadsheets and other office work on our bus ride through Sacramento in the morning. With great portability comes great risk of being damaged. We might bang our laptops against handlebars, drop them on the floor, send them spinning around the table, or spill our drinks on them. Fortunately, they’re pretty hardy little guys most of the time, but every once in a while, the power port stops charging or the screen gets cracked or the keyboard loses a letter.

We can repair any laptop – Dell, Acer, Asus, Compaq, Toshiba, Lenovo, or Apple. Our friendly Nerds have years of laptop repair experience. And we can do it all, too. One of the most common laptop problems that we see here at Nerds On Call in Sacramento is the case of the broken power jack. Sometimes it happens via an unlucky fall. Other times it’s because of a hyperactive dog or those meddling kids. Whichever way, it’s no good when your entire laptop is out of commission because of a broken power jack.
Once upon a time, there was a woman in Sacramento. She had a laptop that she loved to use. Every day she would ride the bus and go to work and use her laptop. One day, she returned from the break room to find her laptop on her desk where she had left it. However, tragedy had struck. Her keyboard was missing keys and some were broken! She was panicked and had no idea what to do. She asked her coworkers if they knew what had happened – why her keyboard was missing all these keys and why some were broken. None of them could tell her what was happening.
Almost everyone in Sacramento has some sort of a laptop. Whether it’s an Ultrabook, notebook, docked tablet, or something else, the last ten years have been so dominated by the mobile computing industry that plenty of people have one, even if it’s not working and needs hardware repair, just sitting in a storage unit.
